Watersedge Designer Label (Abby) made her debut in the show ring tonight. Whilst a little reluctant she nonetheless was reasonably well behaved for her first time.

The international judge (New Zealand), I am sure, was a little surprised to see a two-toned Australian Kelpie in the show ring. She is the second to be exhibited by Watersedge Kennels since Ch. Tomolga Designer Genes (Noosa) - her mother - retired earlier this decade.

Unfortunately Watersedge Private Collection (Ivy-Rose) missed her opportunity the night before to make her debut but there is always another show!

Her brother Watersedge Unique Design (Ziggy), owned by Corinne Chandler made his debut on New Years Eve last year.

It was also very pleasing to have the "rarer" coloured Finnish Lapphunds acknowledged and awarded Challenges and Best of Breeds by International judges.

Ch. Watersedge Sno White (Miia) was awarded Best of Breed tonight, her sister Watersedge Sno Lily (Lylli), the Reserve Bitch Challenge and Runner-Up Best of Breed, whilst her litter brother, Ch. Watersedge Sno Storm (Kustaa) was awarded the Dog Challenge.

Go the blondies!

A great start to the year for our Finnish Lapphunds, especially for Watersedge Tiger Lily (Heidi) having been awarded Best of Breed over her father Grand Ch. Watersedge Alias Aleksi (IID) (Aleksi) by an International judge (New Zealand).

Her litter sister, Watersedge Sno Lily (Lylli) also outshone her father by being awarded Runner-Up Best of Breed!

These 2 young ladies are certainly worth watching.

It is hard to believe that it has been a year since Ch. Theldaroy Wild Wild Ways (Chey) gave birth to our last Finnish Lapphund litter.

Many happy returns to all of the little ones around the country.

Happy New Year.
We have much to celebrate - our Finnish Lapphund, Ch. Watersedge Tru Diamond (IID) (Sylvi) has been back with us for a year today.
